Rare 1979 EP from Elton John & Philadelphia Sound Maestro Thom Bell featuring Top 10 Single “Mama Can’t Buy You Love”

In 1977 Elton John selected producer Thom Bell (The Spinners, The Delfonics, The Stylistics) to flavor his music with the Philadelphia Sound. The resultant Thom Bell Sessions EP features classic disco from Elton and the maestro Bell. Although at least six songs were recorded during the 1977 sessions only three completed tracks were made available on a 12-inch EP in 1979 including the Top 10 single, “Mama Can’t Buy You Love.”
