Oasis Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants on 180g LP + Download
Out of Print Catalog Reissue of the Band’s 2000 Album!
The numbers are staggering: worldwide sales of more than 60 million albums and all seven of their studio albums reached #1 in the U.K., where eight singles have also hit #1. However, the numbers do not tell the whole story ofOasis, the British band centered on the brothers Gallagher, singer Liam and lead guitarist Noel. By bringing together pop, psychedelia, anthemic rock and a singer-songwriter sensibility, Oasis became one of the most important bands of the modern era.
Recorded at Wheeler End, Olympic Studio, Supernova Heights, England and Chateau De La Colle Noire, France between April and August 1999, Oasis’ overtly psychedelic 2000 release Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants marked the departure of two founding members (Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs and Paul “Guigsy” McGuigan) and emergence of a new producer in Mark Stent. The album peaked in the Top 30 in the U.S. and has sold three million copies worldwide to date. Featured are the U.K. #1 “Go Let It Out” and Top 5’s “Who Feels Love?” and “Sunday Morning Call.”
