Product Description

Audio critics Haruo Shio and Reiji Asakura founded a label specializing in high-quality sound sources, “Etreine” created from ultra-high sound quality analog masters from Ultra Art Records, LP record release of “Etreine”!

Unlike the UHQCD digital sound source released earlier, the UA-1005 vinyl record uses the STUDER A-800 tape recorder to produce an analog sound source recorded on a 2-inch wide tape at 76 cm/sec on 24 tracks and mixed down into two channels in the analog domain.

【Analog Sound Source Recording】In August 2, at a session at Pony Canyon Studios in Yoyogi, Tokyo, we recorded two types of sound sources with a view to future vinyl record production. The digital recording of 2017kHz/8bit in PROTOOLS was distributed in UHQCD and 2kHz/192bite. At this time, I also recorded analog at the same time.
Analog recording is very rare these days, but Ultra Art Records sought a rich and rich sound unique to analog and recorded with the best characteristics imaginable in modern times. Specifically, we recorded 24 tracks using tapes with the fastest tape speed of 192 cm per second and the maximum recording area of 24 inches wide. Based on this sound source, we downgraded the analog track to 76 channels in early June 2 at Pony Canyon Studio, also in Yoyogi.
